in this and every sense.
His paintings grace
the homes and offices
of private collectors
the world over including
England, France, Japan,
Russia, and Canada.

He follows his passion
for art and nature by
creating breathtaking
watercolor portraits
of sea and landscapes
from the beautiful Monterey
Bay area of California,
as well as Europe and
Mexico. J.R.'s passion
for architecture is
also demonstrated in
his works of quaint
and lovely European
villages, marinas and
villages on waterways.
J.R.
resides in the Santa
Cruz area of the central
coast of California
with his wife Pat. Together
they travel worldwide
to capture the world's
beauty in watercolor
for those who appreciate
both fine art and nature.
He has visited the great
museums and galleries
to study the work of
the masters.
His
lifelong passion for
art has included studies
in illustration and
advertising at the Art

tributes for the further
development of his talents

source of inspiration.
He
is known most recently
for his many Eurpean
scenes, especially those
with shimmering water
played agains ancient
rich-colored architecture.
His depth of fine detail
is the graphic dimension
of his style. He has
a large series of watercolors
of Pacific Coast harbor
scenes and just completed
a 3-part series of Capitola
Beach and Village. He
is often requested to
paint garden and floral
scenes as well as an
occasional still life,
all of which he does
in his detailed style
with wonderful color
and composition.
